There are, of course, many keys to opening one’s life up/becoming lighter and for me some of them do not involve ‘keys’ as such – they simply require one to realise that sometimes we have a firm grip on an aspect of our lives that is perhaps having a negative affect. Therefore the ‘key’ here is firstly realisation and then acceptance with a true open heart whilst from the outset letting love course through where it needs and wants to go.
I think it’s the buddhists (probably amongst others) who have written: Firstly, ‘Life is difficult.’ Secondly, ‘The sooner one realises and accepts that life is difficult then life becomes easier.’

I try to live by this mantra, what do you think?
